The Great Mandala is shining in the small gemstone. A small man is realizing the great teachings. The tiny may contain the Grand, being the beginning, the end and the evolution itself...
In 2012, a stone symbolically bearing the image of the Kalachakra Mandala—the pearl of Tibetan Buddhism—was cut and presented to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. And what is more significant in Tibetan culture than the Buddhist religion, elevated to the rank of science and philosophy?
The idea crystallized in the text accompanying the Tibetan stone organically continues the idea of the Japanese stone—the only difference being that in one case, the moment and eternity are related in time, while in the other, they are related in space (the Great in the Small). Of all the stones in the project, even in its finished state, the Tibetan stone is perhaps the most complex in its composition and the most mystical. I won't reveal everything; without a sufficiently deep knowledge of Vajrayana Buddhism, it will be difficult to understand—the full design description contains four full pages. I will say only that each facet corresponds to a Deity of the mandala, and thus signifies one aspect of the universe. 722 Deities—722 aspects—722 facets. Their numerical combinations, the order of their arrangement, even sometimes the distances between them—everything is determined and everything has meaning.
