Sakura finishes blossoming quite fast, and sword swing is invisible. But beauty of flower is immortal, as well as power of ancient weapon. Power and Beauty are two faces of the single Perfection.
The ancient land of Yamato is characterized by traditions elevated to cult status, such as the veneration of Strength and admiration for beauty. The composition of the stone is based on the Asanoha, an ancient Japanese ornament symbolizing the union of Beauty and Strength. I was keen to capture the fleeting moment when the Sakura blossom trembles in the rays of the rising sun. Thus, this small flower was created on the pavilion, surrounded by rays flowing from the center to the edges of the stone, repeated three times in increasing size. The text inscribed on this stone speaks not only of the core traditions of Japan but also of the relationship between the fleeting and the eternal in our world and in the human mind.
