West meets East here, creating unrepeatable mosaic of human destinies.
Spain's history is complex; at various times, various cultures dominated here, intermingling, overlapping, and interpenetrating. And in this stone dedicated to Spain, two remarkable monuments in two unique cities unite. These are the Alhambra palace in Granada, represented by the star-shaped Moorish ornamentation of the stone's crown, and the interior of the Sagrada Familia cathedral, a work by the immortal architect Gaudí, depicted on the pavilion. The austere Gothic style is embellished with whimsical arabesques, transforming into a vibrant kaleidoscope of highlights and reflections playing across the stone. Particularly impressive is the crown's ornament, executed in matte lines on a polished surface, no more than 0.2 mm thick, intersecting with each other with astonishing precision.
