In the stone dedicated to India, we again speak of beauty, but in a different aspect – as the great protective potential, represented in the Hindu trinity by the god Vishnu and his feminine counterpart, Lakshmi. Symbolically, the power of Beauty as the quintessence of the Middle Way is expressed by the lotus flower – it is difficult to find anything more beautiful, and it is no coincidence that the goddess Lakshmi in images holds a lotus in her hands. It is the lotus flower with three petals and a twelve-pointed star at the center ("the three-tongued flame of four wicks") that is emphasized on the pavilion of the stone. "O jewel in the lotus flower!" says the great Buddhist mantra in a literal translation. And, as if deciphering this profound symbol, the Sri Yantra is depicted on the crown of the stone, representing a mystical model of the universe.
